Position Summary:
The M365 Architect will create foundational architectures, strategic roadmaps, and standards to ensure a secure and scalable M365 infrastructure organization-wide. This role requires an understanding of both business objectives and technical specifications to craft sophisticated M365 solutions suitable for global implementation. The individual will deliver technical leadership and advisory services throughout the company. Duties range from high-level strategic decisions to day-to-day M365 escalations. They will spearhead the evaluation and selection of technical solutions that support the organization's growth, innovation goals, and enable the cutting-edge work of our biotech startups.
Responsibilities:
- Create comprehensive M365 solutions that align with business requirements, technical, and security standards.
- Create strategies for M365 infrastructure, establish design standards, and develop corresponding implementation specifications.
- Migration Leadership: Lead end-to-end migration efforts to ensure seamless integration of M365 services.
- Act as M365 support escalation for complex operations across environments, handling advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and integration tasks as needed.
- Collaborate with peer groups, business units, and stakeholders to develop comprehensive project plans and architectural designs.
- Design solutions that leverage various Microsoft services like Azure, Office 365, and Copilot.
- Understanding of infrastructure-as-code principals to lead development of M365 services infrastructure-as-code (IAC) in a continuous integration and continuous deployment environment (CI/CD)
- Implement security measures and ensure compliance with industry standards, relevant regulatory requirements and internal security policies, including regular audits and updates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field OR equivalent years of experience
- 5+ years of technical architect experience in Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Powershell, and Azure Automation.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture and services, particularly Azure.
- Expertise in implementing security measures and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Recent hands-on experience with migrating from 3rd party identity or communications platforms to Microsoft services and Microsoft tenant to tenant.
- Ability to integrate M365 with other enterprise systems and applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience dealing with compliance-related regulations like PCI, HIPAA, GDPR, etc. is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex technical challenges.
- Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive solutions.

- Microsoft Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
- Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
