Position Summary:

ProFound Therapeutics is looking for a Sample/Inventory and Laboratory Manager. The ideal candidate is a good communicator, well organized and enjoys handling chemicals and biological reagents, The future colleague will continue to build and expand our unique repository of peptides and proteins originating from the dark proteome.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the inventory of lab supplies, reagents, and equipment.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of inventory levels and usage.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to maintain optimal stock levels and negotiate contracts.
  • Implement and maintain inventory management systems and protocols.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of lab materials.
  • Collaborate with research teams to forecast inventory needs and plan accordingly.
  • Train and supervise lab staff on inventory management procedures.
  • Ensure proper disposal of hazardous materials in compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized lab environment.

Required skills:

  • Bachelor’s in science with 5+ years of experience in lab operations
  • Familiarity with laboratory management tools such as Quartzy, FreezerPro, and Benchling, or similar platforms.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience in training and mentoring lab personnel.
  • Strong capabilities in managing lab safety protocols and quality control standards.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
