Help streamline client’s customs processes

The opportunity:

Flexport is experiencing massive growth with 3000+ Flexporters across 14 global offices and warehouses. And we’re just getting started.

With revenue growing at breakneck speed, Flexport is looking for a Customs Partner Analyst to join our Customs Team. This is a great position for hard-working, detail-oriented professionals looking to develop their career in the international trade industry.  You'll be working alongside and learning from some of the smartest people in the logistics industry as we challenge the status quo and reduce the friction in global trade.

You will:

  • Validate information required to clear customs in various countries
  • Digitally prepare documentation required to customs clear goods to various partners across EMEA.
  • Manage inbound and outbound shipments for multiple different clients utilizing Flexport Customs.
  • Work with clients, manage expectations, and have a client-centric approach - Be obsessed with the client and work with them to find solutions and think outside the box.
  • Organize and digitally store inbound documentation.
  • Validate classifications provided by our clients and provide advice to clients.
  • Identify the potential for the use of a Preferential Trade Agreement on a per-shipment basis 
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with clients by providing first-in-class customer service. Become and be a trusted trade advisor to clients. 
  • Invoice clients through our in-house bespoke software

You should have:

  • 0-2 years of current experience in customs, including experience in handling customs declarations.
  • UK work permit (eligibility to work in the UK) / citizenship.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Ability to handle high volumes
  • Familiarity with Customs product classification and the EU tariff.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Next-level logistical problem-solving skills,and finding solutions to complex client problems is a must.
  • An obsession with client happiness. You succeed when they succeed.
  • Courage to challenge the status quo when logic and reason require it. See something broken? Fix it.
  • High level of computer literacy. No paper. All digital.
