Position Summary
The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the clinical staff within the department. 


Essential Functions
• Supervises assigned clinical team members within the medical office. 
• Participates in the hiring, supervision, and evaluation of assigned team members.
• Schedules staffing to meet changing workload needs.
• Identifies training needs for team members and facilitates development opportunities. This includes the evaluation of training, 
implementation, orientation, and participation of education programs. 
• Develops, implements, monitors, and evaluates quality assurance activities, ensuring compliance with standards, laws, regulations, 
and procedures. Recommends new and/or revised policies and procedures to the department.
• Functions as the certified insulin pump trainer for the department. 
• Able to analyze medical records and documentation and identify problem areas.
• Able to collaborate effectively with physicians and administrative staff.
• Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state 
and local standards.
• Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
Other Related Functions
• Knowledge of clinical and theoretical nursing/clinical processes and principles.
• Knowledge of medical practice protocols and standards.
• Skilled in documentation of patient care including reviewing for accuracy and completeness.


Education/Training
High school graduate or equivalent.
Successful completion of Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school required.


Licensure/Certification
Maintains current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification – and Maintains current certification by one of the following agencies:
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) (www.aama-ntl.org)
• Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) by American Medical Technologists (AMT) (www.amt1.com)
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) by National Healthcareer Association (NHA) (www.nhanow.com)
• National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) by National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) (www.ncctinc.com)


Experience
Two (2) years of related experience required.
