This opening is for full-time Medical Receptionist at our Urgent Care offices in Wesley Chapel and Zephyrhills. This role is responsible for the Check In and Out processes. Candidates with previous medical office or urgent care experience and insurance knowledge are preferred but not required.  Must be willing to work weekends and Holidays.

THE KEYS TO SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE INCLUDE:

  • Love of patients and providing excellent care
  • Confidential handling of patient’s accounts and records
  • Entering data into Electronic Health Records
  • Preparing patients for examination and/or procedures
  • Adherence to company policies
  • HIPAA and OSHA Compliance

Keys to Success in this Role:

  • Prepare e-charts prior to appointment
  • Assist traffic at the front window
  • Collect and process any payments due
  • Address tasks in a timely manner
  • Process medical record releases
  • Assist traffic on the phones
  • Assist providers and patients at the conclusion of the visit

Job Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Excellent telephone etiquette
  • Strong team player
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Insurance knowledge a plus
  • Experience in a medical office preferred but not required

Physical and Mental Demands:

  • Normal physical ability; able to sit for long periods
  • Normal concentration and normal complexity of decision making
  • High level verbal and written communication skills
  • Above average ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
