This Full Time opening is for a Oncology/Chemo Registered Nurse in our Zephyrhills Oncology Department. The role is responsible for providing specialized Oncology nursing care to patients in an outpatient setting. Experience in a Hematology and Medical Oncology office highly preferred. Must be an RN with Oncology/Chemo certification.

Keys to Success in this Role:
- Perform administrative functions
- Provide consultation and information on continuity of care, complex treatment modalities, and additional health and social services available to the patient
- Educate patients and families about cancer diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment options
- Performs complex nursing procedures and prescribed medical treatments
- Demonstrate knowledge of aseptic technique and practice
- Perform intradermal, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intravenous injections to include administration of diagnostic agents and medications
- Administer chemotherapy doses for accuracy, verification of '5 rights'
- Prepare and mix infusion medications following OSHA and manufacturer package guidelines
- Enter charges for services performed in the Infusion Center
- Perform incidental duties as needed
Job Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Current Active Florida RN license
- Current BLS Certification
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Certification preferred
- Strong customer service orientation
- Basic computer proficiency
- Heightened sensitivity to patient’s physical and psychological needs
- Experience in Hematology and Medical Oncology highly preferred
- Registered Nurse w/Oncology & Chemo Certification required
