About the role
As a Space & Range Operations Lead you’ll lead the operations of our Space Management practices and facilitate the delivery of world class, sustainable, customer driven Merchandise strategies. As part of a high performing Customer Insights team, you’ll effectively influence key stakeholder partners by applying the latest customer insight, data, technology and category expertise.
 
Some key responsibilities include:
·       Lead the Space & Range team’s development of category schematics and planograms, incorporating category and banner specific strategies, according to range review calendars.
·       Optimise team resourcing and availability across all Space & Range activities
·       Identify process improvements and work collaboratively across Merchandise to implement new ways of working.
·       Lead and facilitate the development of optimised ranges for new stores/refits/store specific requests in conjunction with key stakeholders, whilst incorporating current Merchandise strategies.
·       Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies to proactively drive continuous improvement.
 
About you
You’ll have extensive experience in space management, including developing schematics and planograms.  Experience using Symphony would be a great advantage.  You’ll also have proven experience in leading and managing teams, preferably in a retail or merchandising environment.
 
You’ll also have:
·       Ability to lead and achieve results and outcomes through other members of the team, including team management and resource planning skills.
·       Strong background in building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
·       Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with critical thinking and judgment.
·       Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities and navigate through ambiguity.
·       Excellent communication skills, able to clearly articulate ideas/concepts, and influence others.
