Girls Who Code is searching for an experienced Director to lead a high-performing Partner Engagement (PE) team to meet its fundraising goals through renewal and growth of existing corporate partnerships and execution of diverse partnership deliverables. 

The Director should be an experienced people manager and be excited to oversee and influence cross-functional projects in service of delivering a stellar partner experience. The Director will guide three direct reports responsible for managing and renewing more than 100 partnerships annually and will also hold a small portfolio of partners at some of the highest levels of giving for the organization (~$500k annually).

Candidates must meet the requirement of our hybrid remote work policy, which requires 2 in-office days per week. This is not a virtual/fully remote position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and management to a team of 3 direct reports, fostering a trusting and collaborative environment that welcomes feedback, encourages ideas, and promotes and supports best in class performance.
  • Set strategies and support team in growing revenue from established corporate partners via annual renewals, raising approximately $12M/year as a team.
  • Work directly with a portfolio of ~5 companies (after ramp up), managing the client relationship to maximize partnership impact and renewal potential. 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure a streamlined partner upsell, renewal, and sponsorship activation experience.
  • Create succinct, compelling written materials, such as internal briefing documents or partner-facing materials such as concept notes, proposals, and reports. 
  • Support team in staying abreast of industry-wide corporate giving trends and the shifting priorities of GWC partners in order to create relevant opportunities for engagement.
  • Work closely with the executive team, program team, research, marketing and other stakeholders to align fundraising efforts with organizational priorities.
  • Manage all other PE team operations and deliverables.
  • Qualifications:

  • 8+ years experience in progressive positions in development, fundraising, corporate account management, corporate partner engagement or similar (CSR, social impact, or adjacent fields).
  • Experience coaching a team of high performing, ambitious professionals.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and significant experience in working with senior leadership.
  • Impeccable organizational skills and a demonstrated track record of successful project management and delivery, with the ability to manage multiple projects in parallel. 
  • Creative thinker with a record of translating strategic thinking into action.
  • Experience and comfort using data to analyze opportunities and inform decisions.
  • Top-notch communication skills (written, oral, interpersonal, presentation).
