Glossier is looking for a highly strategic and creative thinker to support the development of ownable, best-in-class social strategy and social marketing campaigns. This person will be responsible for audience and engagement growth across all owned channels to drive brand awareness and advocacy. This will include the daily management of channel operations (copywriting, content planning & creation, and content team oversight) along with executing the social strategy for all brand launches, in collaboration with cross-functional partners. The ideal candidate will have a strong creative eye and be at the forefront of social trends and innovation as well as the ability to develop channel-by-channel goals and effectively measure success.

6 Month Expectations:

  • Lead the development of the social content tentpoles, along with the calendar, to support overall business and marketing objectives, while driving growth, engagement, and brand awareness across all owned social channels
  • Ability to conceptualize, coordinate, and create compelling insights-informed content 
  • Help coordinate, grow, and foster relationships with our social community and content creators
  • Partner with cross functional teams, including creative, marketing, and commercial, to effectively translate, compile, and cross-pollinate integrated marketing plans through a social lens
  • Collaborate internally within the social team, including management of the social coordinator’s calendar and copy and acting upon insights provided by the consumer social lead
  • Develop strategic creative briefs for the creation of campaign and always-on assets that align to the business objectives, brand strategy and goals
  • Champion brand’s values and identity on social media, ensuring all communications are on-brand, authentic, and resonate with our target audience
  • Ability to identify on-brand trends and deliver with fast-paced execution
  • Enhance relationships with the retailers by partnering with Shopper Marketing and Customer Marketing to craft retailer-specific social content plans on owned channels

12+ Month Expectations:

  • Keep the brand at the forefront of digital storytelling on social media through innovative approaches with a keen understanding for how content translates across different platforms 
  • Accelerate the growth of our audience size while maintaining best in industry engagement
  • Identify new owned storytelling channels/opportunities with high potential for the brand and develop necessary strategic frameworks to pursue those opportunities
  • Diagnose key areas of overlap between other digital channels (i.e. CRM and paid social) and develop an approach to optimize and scale those content synergies

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years experience in working in social media content creation and strategy 
  • Beauty experience & Editorial background in beauty a huge plus (.com/publisher, brand, blog or otherwise)
  • Strong communication written and verbal skills and attention to detail, particularly in regards to consumer-facing content
  • Expertise in content creation across social media platforms and ability to execute

  • A customer-first mindset, with a passion for creating memorable community moments; willingness to challenge “what’s expected” when it comes to the brand content landscape
  • Demonstrated ability to work in ambiguous situations and across organizational boundaries, building cross-functional relationships and advocating for brand outcomes 
  • Passionate self-starter, decisive and able to move with speed to implement ideas
  • Highly proactive, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external partners to make things happen with limited resources

In accordance with the applicable law, the following represents a good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum compensation range for this position:

  • The estimated annual pay range for this role is $82,000-$107,000
  • There may be future opportunities for continued pay progression based on continued strong performance in the role.
  • Full-time positions are also eligible for a competitive compensation and benefits package that include medical health insurance, 401K, equity in the form of Restricted Stock Units, Paid Time Off, Short Term and Long Term Disability leave, and a range of other benefits.

Compensation for the role will be determined based on permissible, non discriminatory factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and experience.
