Your role

As the Employee Engagement Specialist, you will lead employee engagement efforts at the Barleben Distribution Center, collaborating with international teams to enhance engagement initiatives. Your role includes managing and improving local programs, gathering employee feedback, fostering cross-functional partnerships, and continuously refining processes to enhance the employee experience

Your area of responsibility

• You will become the face of the Employee Engagement task force at our Distribution Center in Barleben and be part of a broader team to streamline engagement initiatives across our international markets.
• You will build and streamline local site programs to support an inclusive environment promoting effective and engaging two-way communication by leveraging various vehicles from screens to flyers, text messages, postings, and in-person meetings
• You will manage current programs and help develop and roll out new initiatives in partnership with local site operations and People team
• You will assess the effectiveness of programs for continuous improvement - identifying gaps in systems and processes, so you may propose/build solutions to meet our employee's diverse needs best
• You will work directly with employees to collect feedback and find local ways to improve the culture
• You will foster strong partnerships cross-functionally and work closely with Operations teams to support them in owning and improving the employee experience on their teams
• You will partner with the local People team to ensure all processes operate efficiently and effectively
• You will support on ad hoc projects from the People Team or Operations Team

• You are bilingual (German and English) or even speak further languages
• You have 2+ years of work experience in a related field, HR, customer service, and/or coordinator position
• You have experience in supporting general HR functions (strongly preferred)
• You have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred
• You have a strong customer service focus - hospitality and a contagious positive attitude are key
• You have exceptional communication (both written and verbal), interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• You have proficient skills in using Google Apps (i.e., Gmail, Docs, Slides, Sheets)
• You have demonstrated the ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity
