The role
We are seeking a detail-oriented FSQA Specialist with a microbiological background to join our team in overseeing and supporting the quality assurance processes at our production site. You’ll be based in Amsterdam and collaborating closely with the production team in Germany as well as the HelloFresh head office in Berlin. As part of the team, you will streamline processes, assist with supplier onboarding, drive quality improvement projects, handle serious complaints, and ensure compliance with food safety regulations. This role will provide a broad opportunity to work on various projects and initiatives across the supply chain, production, logistics, and product development. The FSQA Specialist will be a key player in maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality across our operations.

What you’ll do
- Microbiological Support: Support local teams on sanitation, validation, and foodborne illness investigations. Support preservation methods and shelf-life management.
- Production Support: Streamline processes, define quality requirements, and resolve production issues.
- Supplier Onboarding: Support new supplier and ingredient onboarding, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Quality Improvement: Lead quality improvement initiatives for both processes and products.
- Complaint Management: Handle serious complaints, particularly food safety-related, and implement corrective actions.
- System Support: Assist with systems and tools for quality management, specifications and labeling.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with regulation changes, answer regulatory questions, and ensure compliance.
- Allergen Management: Support allergen handling and labeling. Support allergen validations for production.
- Training: Provide training on food safety, quality processes, and systems.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Food Science, or related field.
- 1+ years of FSQA experience, with a microbiology focus.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, quality management systems, and food production processes.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to handle complaints, solve quality issues, and drive continuous improvement independently.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities, tasks, and work environments.
- Must be bluent in English. Dutch & German is a plus.
