About the role  

We are hiring an experienced SAN Storage Specialist to provide Level 3/ Level 2 support for SAN and storage systems. The role involves managing storage infrastructure, ensuring disaster recovery, and supporting complex IT environments. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in storage technologies, strong knowledge of Hitachi Storage systems and expertise in SAN switch administration. This role requires collaboration with global teams, proactive problem-solving, and adherence to ITIL frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Level 3 / Level 2 supportfor SAN, NAS and storage systems including incident, change and problem management aligned with ITSM frameworks.
  • Manage Disaster Recovery, Backup and Recoverystrategies ensuring business continuity and storage optimization.
  • Collaborate with Hitachi Service Delivery Managers, Account Teams, and customers to deliver and implement storage solutions.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and provide technical escalation supportfor L1/L2 teams.
  • Administer Hitachi Storage systems(VSP, HNAS, HCP) and SAN switches (iSCSI, Fibre Channel, FCoE).
  • Perform storage replicationusing technologies like GAD, TrueCopy, and Universal Replication.
  • Conduct capacity and performance analysis proactively addressing bottlenecks and potential issues.
  • Maintain runbooks, configuration documentation and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide 24x7 on-call supporton a rotational basis and ensure timely incident updates to stakeholders.
  • Adhere to health, safety, and security policies, reporting vulnerabilities or breaches as required.

Requirements:

  • 5-10 yearsof experience in storage technologies (Block/File/Object) and SAN switch administration.
  • Expertise in Hitachi Storage systemsor equivalent (DellEMC, NetApp, HPE).
  • ITIL certification (preferred) and relevant storage certifications (added advantage).
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and customer-centric skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field.
