Job purpose
Reporting to the customer’s Storage Team Manager, this individual will provide production support and maintenance services for HV products. He/She will also provide advice on how to acquire technology solutions that are aligned with their business strategy and processes. He/She will work with different teams to support the storage services provided to their clients. He/She will be responsible for Transition and Transformation services, day to day support, troubleshooting, diagnosis, maintenance and service improvements.
The Candidate is a team player, a motivator and a problem solver, able to analyse complex problems and form workable solutions.

Responsibilities
• Provide production support and maintenance services for Hitachi VSP 5x00, VSP G/F series, VSP, USPV, HNAS, HCP, Brocade SAN network directors & switches, Cisco MDS SAN directors & switches.
• Provide production support and maintenance services for Hitachi VSP 5500, VSP G/F series, VSP, USPV, HNAS, HCP and Brocade SAN network directors & switches
• Liaise and cooperate with vendors on SAN device firmware or microcode management
• Work with customer on Technology Refresh, Data Migration, Server Relocation, Data Center Maintenance or Business Continuity Process validation
• Support storage related performance monitoring, troubleshooting and tuning
• Perform change and problem management in detail and follow company standards.
• Manage incident & change according to ITIL standard
• Prepare quarterly performance reports for Hitachi storage systems and ad hoc performance reports when needed
• Develop and implement program and/or script, task automation to enhance monitoring/reporting/troubleshooting/health check procedure
• Performance review against users/SLA requirements and optimize system performance by establish appropriate storage system and SAN network configuration changes.

Profile
• At least 8 years’ experience within complex IT environments including storage management and provisioning
• Rich experience on block, file and object storage management, provisioning and replication operations. Familiar with Hitachi/Brocade/Cisco management products including but not limited to SN, HCS, Ops Center, SNM2, CCI, REST API, HDLM, BNA, SANnav, Cisco Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller (NDFC)
• Familiar with Windows, Linux, UNIX and VMware operating system
• Hitachi Vantara Certification for block, file and object storage is preferred
• Skills and experience on 3rd party products and solutions, such as Huawei, EMC, IBM AIX, Mainframe, Veritas Netbackup is preferred
• Programming and stats skill is an advantage – Perl/Python and R programming, anomaly detection with different statistical models. Performance classification using different approaches like KNN / iForest/ One-class SVM
• Fluent Cantonese and English
• Bachelor degree is a must
In addition to the technical skills above, the successful candidate will have clear and concise written and oral communication skills, able to provide feedback in a positive and constructive manner and able to operate effectively in a demanding environment.
