Icertis seeks a dynamic and technically proficient Product Manager to join our API Product Management Team. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in APIs, a strong understanding of the API business landscape, and exceptional skills in API documentation. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, technical acumen, and excellent communication abilities to drive the success of our API products and enhance our developer experience

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the product strategy and roadmap for API products, aligning with the company’s overall business objectives.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats in the API ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to design and develop high-quality APIs that meet customer and partner needs.
  • Ensure the technical excellence of API offerings by staying current with industry best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Understand and articulate the business value of APIs to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop pricing models, usage metrics, and business cases to support API monetization and adoption strategies.
  • Lead the creation and maintenance of comprehensive, user-friendly API documentation.
  • Work closely with the developer community to gather feedback, address pain points, and continuously improve the developer experience.
  • Partner with sales, marketing, customer support, and other teams to ensure successful product launches and customer satisfaction.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all API-related inquiries and support escalations.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of API products.
  • Analyze usage data and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement and innovation in API offerings.
  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in product management, with a focus on API products or related technology domains.
  • Strong understanding of API design, RESTful principles, and modern API technologies (like Azure APIM).
  • Proficient in API documentation tools (e.g., Swagger, Postman) and familiarity with API management platforms.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute API product strategies that drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Experience with API monetization, usage analytics, and developer engagement strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of driving innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for continuous learning and staying updated with the latest trends and technologies in the API space.
