The Automation Lead - Software QA - BBU (Baseband unit) will be responsible for managing, designing, and developing automation framework, having strong experience on python, 4G and 5G RAN E2E testing.
This position will be located in Bengaluru.
Responsibilities
Work on automation framework management, design and development for validation on JMA XRAN products. Responsible for quality, test automation tools and best practices.Responsible for designing, programming, integrating, testing and bug fixing involved in creating and maintaining automation framework development and automation testing.Collaborate with software/hardware R&D QA teams, developers and project managers to understand the requirements and ensure good test automation coverage.Provide automation test infrastructure to enable QA teams to test and deliver engineering releases.Responsible for complete ownership of automation framework development deliverables. Assist team to troubleshoot issues.Qualifications
10+ years of Hands-on experience on python programming, shell scripting, JavaScript, HTML, JSON, XML, YAML, Rest APIs. Having knowledge on any database like Postgres etcProven experience as a Software Architect with the ability to design and oversee high-level software system structures, make critical architectural decisions, and ensure scalability, performance, and alignment with business objectives, while guiding development teams with technical standards and best practices.Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Communication Engineering or equivalent. Masters preferred. Strong Knowledge & Hands on experience on automation framework development like Robot automation framework, Pytest, UI frameworks like Selenium, Appium or Playwright.Good understanding of 5G and/or LTE Architecture, high-level understanding of different entities, roles of 5G/4G/ System and cloud-based RAN system is expectedHaving CBRS Certified Professional Installer is preferredAbility to understand and analyses logs for debugging issues, identifying the root cause for the problems seen in framework development and during automation testingHands on experience on UE Simulators, Core simulators used in 4G/5G testing. Knowledge of ADB commands, iperf tool, wireshark etc.Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Podman and Openshift Container PlatformExperience in understanding the testcases and writing automation test scripts, execute and analyze.Hands on experience with Linux, Networking, Git, any IDE like Visual Studio, Pycharm is a must.Familiarity with CI/CD, GIT, Bitbucket, Jira and Confluence#LI-MT1
