The Engineer - Integration and Validation Test will execute conformity tests related to JMA projects. These projects include validation of the full system from board firmware validation to system integration including 3GPP standards compliance. The Test Engineer will perform functional tests and validate the product including performance and conformity. The Test Engineer is part of the internal testing team, which collaborates with firmware/software/hardware R&D developers and project managers. The Test Engineer will work onsite at the JMA Wireless office in Plano, TX.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Design and execute RF test plans for RRU (Remote Radio Units) products in roadmap, including test cases, data analysis, and reporting
  • Utilize industry-standard RF test equipment, such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and network analyzers, to perform RF testing
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in RF testing methodologies and technologies
  • Provide technical support to customers and internal teams regarding RF performance issues and solutions
  • Attend and contribute to internal project scrum meetings
  • Write Python scripts for test automation
  • Interface with design, test, mechanical, firmware and software teams
  • Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (telecommunications engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent engineering discipline) or 5+years of experience or Master degree in Engineering with 2+ years of experience.
  • Experience testing wireless products such as Base Stations , RF hardware boards, Radio Access Networks (O-RAN is a plus) within 5G
  • Hands on experience using test equipment such as Spectrum Analyzer, Network Analyzer, Oscilloscope, 3GPP conformance testing and RF power meter etc.
  • Familiarity with basic Python for test automation is a plus.
  • Knowledge of 5G technology and 3GPP standards
  • Team player, work independently with minimum supervision
