The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be located at the Liverpool, New York office and report to the Senior Director of R&D.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading design, development, and enhancement efforts for Wireless/RF Connector, Antenna and Powering products
  • Experience leading teams of engineers (either direct reports or technical leader)
  • Integral part of new product development teams and work from conception through production
  • Design for optimization of cost and manufacturability for low and high volume, reliable products to budget
  • Design experience with plastic and metal mechanical components, assemblies, and electro-mechanical packaging
  • Lead product design reviews and production releases
  • Hands-on expertise in prototyping /modeling design
  • Testing mechanical and electrical properties to ensure quality and reliability
  • Manage development to ensure adherence to JMA design standards and change control processes
  • Determine project budgets and capital requirements required for new product development
  • Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering field and Master's is a plus
  • Minimum of 8+ years of engineering, design, and leadership experience
  • Fluent with 3D modeling software, Solidworks preferred
  • PDM software experience, SolidWorks Enterprise PDM preferred
  • Familiarity with structural and thermal analysis capability utilizing ANSYS and IcePak simulation tools is a plus
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP software, SAP preferred
  • Vast experience with manufacturing processes including sheet metal forming, CNC machining, plastic injection molding, plastic and aluminum extrusion processes, die casting, electronic packaging, and production assembly
  • Experience for products in a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Be creative and possess superior organizational, interpersonal and oral/written communication skills
