ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
JUUL Labs Canada is searching for a Commercial Planning Manager responsible for JLC’s commercial program development and execution project management. In this role, you will report to the Country Manager, and work closely with many cross-functional teams across the organization.
Being successful in this role requires a high level of problem-solving skills, project management expertise, communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams while balancing several priorities, and a strong sense of business acumen to translate insights and strategies into actions.
The role is for candidates located in Toronto.
Specific responsibilities for the team include:
Commercial capabilities development
- Lead cross-functional partners in the development of commercial initiatives, including defining scope, cost, tools required, targets, etc. that are aligned with the overall commercial strategy
- Develop and maintain account segmentation to increase efficiency of field-sales efforts and effectiveness of points of distribution
Oversight of Cross Functional alignment to commercial plan
- Attend and/or run key business meetings with cross functional partners including strategy, marketing, comms/GR, finance, and sales execution teams to ensure all strategies align
- Work collaboratively with marketing to ensure proper materials are being produced, communicated, and executed to ensure impact at point of purchase and proper sell in
- Work closely with the distribution team to ensure the timely execution of product launches and program execution while also coordinating with the Sales Team to close out any distribution issues
- Partner with sales leaders to deliver quarterly cycle planning priorities/materials
- Support KAMs with external customer presentations in partnership with Business Intelligence by ensuring all required selling materials & strategic communication materials are available In-year execution improvement and feedback loop
- Oversee management of all course-corrections required in-year to annual plans based on real-time market developments and manage commercial plan changes accordingly
- Become the subject matter expert in what is happening promotionally from a competitive standpoint
- Lead the development of business cases for projects that require leadership/global approval (in partnership with Country Manager)
Monitoring and communication of progress and results to all key stakeholders
- Align cross-functional partners to program tool kit requirements, ownership (RACI model), and timing, then track the status of the tool kit and coordinate delivery to teams as necessary
- Track progress of inputs/outputs across cross-functional stakeholders while identifying gaps or risks and drive resolution as necessary
- Update Commercial leadership on plan development progress
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Quantitative undergraduate degree from a top-tier institution preferred; MBA optional
- 5+ years experience at a CPG or a technology organization
- High level of proficiency in project management and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple cross-functional team
- Ability to multitask and quickly adapt to changing business environment
- Relentless sense of prioritization
- Comfortability reading and understanding sales reports
- Capacity to clearly communicate priorities succinctly
- High level of proficiency in Excel ,PowerPoint and Google Suite applications
- Written communication skills and attention to detail
- French communication skills are plus
