Kobalt Music is seeking an Accounts Receivable and Payroll Lead to join our Global Finance team. Reporting into the Director of Treasury, you will be part of the team responsible for supervising accounts receivable activities for the business, along with being the main point of contact for UK & ROW payroll. You will also support the broader finance team with other ad-hoc tasks and projects as required.

WHAT DO YOU DO AS AN ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE AND PAYROLL LEAD AT KOBALT?

  • You supervise a Finance Assistant to ensure:
    • Accurate processing of receipts in our internal systems and NetSuite.
    • Timely responses to receipt-related queries.
    • Accurate invoice generation when required.
  • You manage UK & ROW Payroll, including:
    • Processing payroll and addressing payroll-related queries.
    • Maintaining a strong relationship with payroll providers.
  • You ensure compliance with company financial processes and procedures.
  • You perform customer statement reconciliations.
  • You support both internal and external audits.
  • You manage statement payment runs alongside Finance Manager

WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Experience in supervising or working in Accounts Receivable, along with payroll experience.
  • A team player with excellent communication skills, capable of collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in the music industry is a plus but not essential.
  • Bonus points for strong Excel skills and familiarity with NetSuite.
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced environment and interest in pursuing an ACA/ACCA or CIMA qualification.
    • Kobalt supports your qualification journey, covering costs for study materials, course fees, and exam entry. You’ll also receive 1.5–2.5 paid study leave days per paper (up to 10 days/year, subject to level).
