We are seeking an Sr. IT Systems Engineer who excels in both hands-on infrastructure support and infrastructure automation. You'll play a key role in evolving and scaling our infrastructure to meet the demands of our expanding business.

What you'll do:

  • Design and maintain computer networks, servers, and storage systems.
  • Monitor system performance to ensure optimal operation and identify potential issues.
  • Plan and execute disaster recovery and back-up procedures.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth IT operations.
  • Develop and implement security procedures and documentation to protect data and systems.
  • Monitor and maintain the health and security of our cloud, datacenter, and network infrastructure, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues.
  • Implement and manage monitoring and alerting systems for critical infrastructure components.
  • Ability to learn Ansible and Terraform in a production environment, demonstrating proficiency in automating complex infrastructure tasks.
  • Support Ansible automated provisioning systems for servers, laptops, and other devices, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
  • Assist with new employee onboarding, setting up accounts and access.
  • Respond to IT infrastructure support requests in a timely and helpful manner.
  • What you'll bring:

  • 3+ years of experience managing physical datacenter infrastructure, including: racking and stacking servers, cable management, UPS and power distribution, physical security measures
  • A proactive self-starter with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively, strong customer service skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, start-up environment.
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies, experience with cloud infrastructure, and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems.
  • Experience with Linux and Git, including scripting, version control, and collaborative workflows.
  • Understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and experience with hybrid cloud environments preferred.
  • Strong networking experience, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols.
