We are hiring for the position of Business Development Lead (Kansai Area) in Tokyo! You will lead the growth of our corporate business in the Kansai area and be responsible for developing new clients and managing existing clients. In particular, as a B2B and B2B2C corporate sales professional, you will gain a deep understanding of our clients' issues and propose optimal solutions.

What you’ll do

  • Acquiring new client
  • Sales activities to companies requiring logistics and delivery services
  • Listing and approaching perspective clients (tele-appointments, dive in sales, networking, etc.)
  • Setting appointments and conducting business meetings
  • Listening to clients' issues and needs, and proposing optimal solutions

  • Formulate and implement sales strategies
  • Conduct market analysis and identify optimal targets
  • Develop and execute strategies to achieve sales targets (KPIs and sales)
  • Collaborate with internal teams to promote measures to improve sales

  • Prepare proposals and quotations and negotiate contracts
  • Propose logistics solutions tailored to customer needs
  • Prepare quotations and contracts and negotiate prices
  • Follow-up after contract signing

  • Collaboration with internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate with operations team to smoothly support customers’ logistics needs
  • Work with customer support and driver operations teams to facilitate problem resolution
  • Skills and experience required

  • Experience in B2B corporate sales (any industry)
  • Experience in new business development sales (tele-appointment, dive, networking, etc.)
  • Skills in listening to customer issues and being able to make proposal-based sales
  • Ability to communicate smoothly with internal and external parties
  • Results-oriented and able to take initiative to achieve sales targets (KPI and sales)

  • Nice to have
  • Sales experience in the logistics and distribution industry
  • Business development experience in a start-up or fast-growing company
  • Experience developing sales strategies using data analysis

  • What you’ll need

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a sales, business development, or account manager, preferably in logistics or related industry
  • Proven track record in identifying new business, closing deals, achieving sales goals, and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong knowledge of industry trends, customer needs and key players.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills (oral and written).
  • Strategic thinking and data-driven problem solving skills
  • Strong communication skills in both Japanese and English (must be able to conduct business conversations in both languages)
  • Use of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint)
