Currently, we are looking for a high-caliber individual to join our Legal team as a Senior Legal Associate based in Hong Kong. 

What you’ll do:

  • Provide legal advice and support business units on a full range of daily operation matters
  • Work closely with legal associates in markets in South East Asia, including Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore
  • Work closely with various business units in Functional Office in advising related legal questions
  • Research, review and advise on local regulations and provisions, and assisting management in identifying and mitigating against legal risks
  • Draft, review and advise on daily operations related general commercial agreements and matters, such as service level agreements, non-disclosure agreements, etc
  • Draft, review and update agreement templates for legal team and business units
  • Monitor regulatory development and advise business units on the impact, and provide advice and support to business units on submissions to regulators
  • Manage legal actions at all court levels in various markets/ countries
  • Instruct, monitor and supervise the works of external law firms
  • Prepare regular regulatory reports and assist in reporting exercises
  • What you’ll need:

  • Degree in Law with 2-4 PQE experience
  • Prior in-house experience is an advantage
  • Have good business and commercial sense
  • Strong legal research, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Capable to work independently and prioritise multiple tasks while meeting tight deadlines
  • Self-motivated personality with passion to learn in a fast-changing area
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken Chinese (Mandarin) and English
