Duties & Responsibilities:
The Data & Analytics Specialist position at Lincoln provides an excellent opportunity to work in a demanding, yet supportive, team-oriented environment. The Data & Analytics Specialist should have relevant professional experience, be entrepreneurial, poised and able to deal with many different people both inside as well as outside the firm. Based in Chicago, Illinois, the Data & Analytics Specialist will serve as a key member of Lincoln’s Business Enablement team, with the primary role of supporting initiatives related to Lincolns proprietary Private Market Database. The Data & Analytics Specialist will gain a general understanding of Lincoln’s Valuations and Opinions business and of Lincoln’s client base, and a deep understanding of private equity and private credit markets.
Regular working hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm with a 30-minute lunch break. Willingness and ability to work overtime is necessary.
The primary duties are to:
- Develop and validate internal reporting and data & analytics tools using Power BI and SQL
- Develop and validate client facing reporting tools using Power BI and SQL
- Enhance and update existing reporting and data & analytics tools
- Provide user support for Power BI reporting tools
- Work directly with Lincoln bankers and clients to understand context and gather requirements
- Participate in data validation and quality assurance testing as well as data health analysis
- Participate in database enhancement and data cleaning initiatives
- Participate in the development of quarterly perspectives about the private credit and equity markets based on analysis of this data
- Work cross-functionally with other teams within Lincoln to perform business analysis and develop data strategy
- Assist in execution of strategic technology implementations

Other Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or related
- 1 – 2 years of professional experience in a comparable, finance-focused analytical role
- 1 – 2 years’ experience developing reports in Power BI with large, complex, and/or fragmented datasets
- Proficiency with SQL
- Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities performing data cleansing, manipulation, and analysis
- Understanding of financial concepts and terminology
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Client/Customer facing experience a plus
- Experience architecting/developing relational databases a plus
