The role in a nutshell:
We are seeking a full-time 3D Illustrator to join our brand and product teams, focusing on creating 3D and 2D assets. Luno has recently transformed how we produce brand collateral by leveraging 3D imagery to simplify the complex world of crypto. We have developed a distinct 3D style that requires continuous refinement and expansion. The ideal candidate will have proven experience working with Cinema 4D and Redshift, along with an impressive portfolio that demonstrates their skills. In addition to 3D work, the role will involve creating 2D illustrations, small-scale 3D motion graphics, and infographics.
Your mission will be:
- Create high-quality 3D models, textures, and animations for use in marketing assets in line with our current 3D approach
- Collaborate with designers and the creative director to ensure that 3D assets are on brief and conceptually clear
- Optimise 3D assets for performance and memory usage, ensuring that they run smoothly on target platforms.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and techniques, and apply this knowledge to improve the quality and efficiency of 3D asset creation.
- Troubleshoot and solve technical issues related to 3D asset creation and integration.
- Maintain organised and efficient asset pipelines, ensuring that all 3D assets are properly labeled, versioned, and stored.
A little about you:
- Relevant experience in Cinema 4D and Redshift
- Strong modelling, lighting and rendering skills
- Ability to use cryptomatte or similar
- An ability to animate 3D assets
- A strong personal and professional interest in, decentralised cryptocurrencies, blockchain and finance
- Financial inclusion and/or personal finance
- An ability to work independently with excellent organisation and project management skills, including a track record of initiative, problem-solving, and adaptability.
- An ability to build and maintain meaningful, collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams across the wider business.
