Reporting to the Product and Legislative Assurance Manager, the QA Specialist undertakes the following RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Facilitate the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality systems and GMP programs across manufacturing facilities, ensuring compliance with Canadian and US regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in the authoring, review, and approval of controlled documents such as SOPs and forms while ensuring the accurate maintenance and organization of quality records
  • Participate in the development and delivery of QA/GMP-related training to ensure adherence to Lush policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Review and analyze product quality feedback and data, identifying trends and summarizing findings in detailed reports for stakeholders and senior management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate customer complaints and non-conformance reports, recommending solutions and supporting corrective actions.
  • Coordinate third-party and internal audits, ensuring readiness and compliance.
  • Support quality related and continuous improvement projects, as needed
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities, including quality assurance and quality control tasks, as required to support the needs of the business.

You bring the following QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • 2+ years of Quality Assurance experience in the Food, Cosmetics, or Natural Health Product industry.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science (preference for Food Sciences, Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry) or other related field
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to adapt and evolve in fast-paced and changing work environments
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and works well individually and as a team player

Preferred:

  • Proficiency in ISO 22716 standards is an asset
  • Experience with internal auditing

This salary range is based on an assessment of the local market and may vary depending on the successful candidate's location. This range is based on base salary and does not include additional bonus program and total rewards eligibility.

Base Salary Range
$60,000$65,000 CAD
