Data Curation Operations is a team which supports all ongoing curation projects for Mapping and other teams at Lyft. Our mission is to improve customer experience in Lyft products by providing high-quality, comprehensive, and efficient data curation operations.
In this role, you will work closely with an external partner team on curation projects which involve data enrichment and maintenance for map data. You will also be required to develop and hold training sessions for both external and internal teams. Responsibilities:
- Project management: Manage resourcing, priorities, and reporting for project portfolio; develop and execute process improvements. Identify and resolve problems within area of ownership in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders. Support vendor engagement, monitor performance, share feedback, and execute on corrective actions as needed.
- Operational Excellence: Develop deep understanding of assigned projects; execute with high accuracy and speed. Maintain documentation, establish processes and policies in cooperation with Policy Leads.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Build communication and collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders including partners from vendor sites, proactively seeking for feedback. Synthesize and present insights to inform stakeholder decisions.
- Domain acumen: Execute on team goals and roadmap items; understand business products, goals, and stakeholders. Balance stakeholder needs with manager support and act as a subject-matter expert for escalations from other teams as appropriate.
- Teamwork & Collaboration: Contribute to a positive and inclusive team environment. Implement Lyft core values within the partner team and contribute to working culture. Help teams to troubleshoot problems in their subject area (project, tooling, product, external partners).
- Management tools: Execute small-scale technical tasks to support curation projects within area of ownership. Use data analytics tools (like Mode, and Google Workspace products) for analysis and results representation.
Expectations & Skills
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree or equivalent.
- 1+ years experience in managing projects with a customer-centric approach
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to analyze issues, identify solutions, and/or escalate appropriately.
- Customer obsessed: You are passionate about delivering great customer experiences with a strong track record to back that up. You have analytical and problem-solving skills to proactively address and prevent issues.

- Strong and proactive communicator: You excel in verbal and written communication (English). You can adapt your communication style to work with team members from all corners of the organization, and you proactively share updates on processes you own. You are receptive to feedback and direction in order to successfully carry out tasks and lead projects to completion.
- Strong computer skills: You feel comfortable learning new processes, systems & tools, including labeling tools (data labeling, image labeling) and Google Workspace products.
- Nice to have
- Experience working with 3rd-party curation, annotation, or customer service providers will be an advantage
- Background in mapping, cartography and any related fields. Experience using Open Street Map.
- Experience with data entry or data labeling
- Experience with Jira, Confluence
This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule if an established Lyft Location is available to the Mexico City region — Hybrid Team Members will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Additionally, hybrid roles have the flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year. #Hybrid
