We are seeking an organized and opportunistic Executive Communications manager to work closely with our CEO and a bench of talented C-suite executives. In this role, you’ll develop comprehensive executive communications plans, identify new and emerging platforms, and personally ensure high-quality execution across events, speaking opportunities, and written communications. Specifically, you will be instrumental in building and scaling our executive social media program. This involves developing and executing strategic social media plans for our executives, focusing on overseeing content creation, community engagement, and platform growth. You will also be responsible for establishing and tracking key performance indicators to measure the impact of our executive social media presence, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives.

Successful candidates will be highly proactive, creative, and organized. You should be comfortable debating ideas and finding new ways to tell our story. Ideally, you have previous experience in executive communications and processes at a large company, and enjoy building relationships across many different teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a key strategic partner to the CEO and select C-suite executives, to develop and tell our story outside the company. 
  • Proactively identify new opportunities and platforms, and develop new programs to increase the impact and reach of our communications.
  • Build an integrated annual communications plan for the Lyft CEO, and select other executives.
  • Manage execution of all external executive communications across written, events, media, speeches, and social. 
  • Work closely with peers on the external (and internal) communications team to ensure integrated planning and execution.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of communications experience.
  • Demonstrated focus on executive communications in large companies.
  • Ability to fluidly navigate between strategy and execution (can develop high-level strategic plans and also ensure high-quality execution). 
  • Proven success building strategic communications plans across external channels including owned, earned, social, and emerging media.  
  • Unusually strong writing and personal communication skills. 
  • A track record of building strong relationships across organizational boundaries.

This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule — Team Members will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Additionally, hybrid roles have the flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year. #Hybrid

The expected base pay range for this position in the San Francisco area is $108,000-$135,000. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
