In this role, you'll shape the future of our organization's corporate data foundation, ensuring that our Bi and analytics platforms, and data infrastructure services not only meet today's needs but anticipate and address tomorrow's challenges. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, you will lead a team that oversees critical data and analytic services that touch every aspect of our business and inform strategic decisions at Lyft. From ensuring robust data governance and quality through our analytics ecosystem to maintaining the integrity and accessibility of our data infrastructure to finding new and innovative ways to derive actionable insights from our vast repositories, your leadership will be crucial in creating an environment where data and its insights enables innovation.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the strategic vision for corporate data and analytics that aligns with and advances key business objectives
  • Architect the enterprise data ecosystem, establishing governance frameworks and standards that balance innovation with compliance
  • Lead the transformation of corporate data infrastructure and develop and implement AI-powered solutions to enhance data insights, automate processes, and improve decision-making. Stay abreast of emerging AI trends and evaluate their potential impact on the organization's data strategy
  • Champion a data-driven culture, driving the evolution of the company's analytical infrastructure, leveraging deep technical expertise to deliver scalable solutions by partnering with various organizations and senior leaders to leverage insights for strategic decision-making
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources across data and analytics initiatives
  • Build and develop high-performing teams through strategic hiring, mentorship programs, and advancement opportunities
  • Foster strategic partnerships across the organization, including Accounting and Internal audit to anticipate future data needs and position analytics as a competitive advantage
  • Ensure data security, compliance, and privacy standards are maintained across all corporate data assets

Experience:

  • 8+ years of leadership experience in enterprise data management, analytics, or business intelligence
  • 5+ years leading cross-functional teams with demonstrated success scaling data organizations
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Analytics, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated expertise with enterprise solutions using modern data technologies (Redshift, Hive, Airflow) and bi/analytics platforms (Tableau, Mode, Thoughtspot)
  • Demonstrated expertise Experience managing departmental budgets and optimizing technology investments
  • Experience developing and implementing enterprise-wide data governance and master data management strategies
  • History of successfully leading organizational change management in data-centric transformations
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value for non-technical audiences

This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule — Team Members will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Additionally, hybrid roles have the flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year. #Hybrid

The expected base pay range for this position in the San Francisco area is $176,000 - $220,000. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
