Lyft is looking to hire a qualified & experienced Senior Revenue Accountant to its Revenue Accounting team. This role will report to Manager, Revenue Accounting. This is a crucial role that will assist in overseeing revenue accounting operations in a fast paced environment. This role provides growth opportunities, as it encompasses day to day controllership duties as well as drive project based initiatives. The candidate should expect to leverage current skill-sets while also focusing on learning quickly and adding value to the current processes.
Responsibilities:
- Own month end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analysis for one of the Lyft revenue streams (Enterprise & Fleet)
- Collaborate with the financial analytics data team and other internal business partners to define accounting requirements for new products and projects
- Work with the upstream cross functional business partners to determine accounting requirements for new contracts or new products
- Lead process improvements initiatives and automation to streamline processes and shorten close
- Document and implement revenue accounting processes and internal controls
- Responsible for SOX compliance for revenue accounting
- Assist with external audit, including preparation of PBC requests
- Perform special, ad-hoc projects in Accounting/Finance as needed
Experience:
- BS in Accounting/Finance, CPA license preferred
- 4+ years in Accounting, public accounting experience preferred
- Strong cognitive thinking, critical thinking, and efficiency driven
- Be able to read SQL, preferred but not required
- Fast learner with strong problem-solving skills
- Proactive, action taker, and be a change agent
- Familiar with ASC 606 guidance, NPI revenue experience preferred, but not required
- Have experience draft revenue accounting memo one pager, preferred but not required
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently with minimal supervision to accomplish objectives and deadlines
- Strong organizational, communication, and project/time management skills
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills - must have significant experience in Microsoft and Google applications; Oracle is strongly preferred
- Capable to establish strong working relationships with all levels stakeholders

This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule — Team Members will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Thursdays and a team-specific third day. Additionally, hybrid roles have the flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year. #Hybrid
The expected base pay range for this position in the Toronto area is $76,000 - $95,000. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
