Position Overview:

The organizers of the World Baseball Classic are looking for a highly motivated candidate with a tireless work ethic
to fulfill the role of Coordinator, Global Consumer Products, for the 2026 World Baseball Classic. This position
requires coordination of all Licensing-related activities with Tournament organizers and National Team
representatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Create purchase orders and coordinate the ordering, tracking and delivery of WBC team and venue
    uniforms, equipment, and provisions.
  • Work with fulfillment and logistics companies to coordinate delivery and shipping from WBC vendors to
    teams and venues.
  • Compile all documentation for international shipments including commercial invoices, packing lists and
    any other required documents.
  • Track and cross reference all WBC product credit usage and WBC applicable invoices. Create and
    maintain a summary report of licensing expenditures across all suppliers.
  • Create and maintain database of WBC team and venue uniforms, equipment, and provisions, as well as
    other WBC product orders (including a visual inventory of all provisions).
  • Ensure that all uniform needs are met across all federations, sizes, quantity, quality for both qualifiers
    and main tournament.
  • Review Federation Uniform submissions jointly with MLBPA to ensure they are within WBC guidelines.
  • Regularly follow up with Federation team coordinators, Tournament organizers and teams regarding
    deadlines and completion of tasks.
  • Review Quality Control artwork submissions and assist in the enforcement and protection of WBC
    trademarks and property rights.
  • Support on-site concessions and facilitate discount purchase opportunities for players.
  • Assist with WBC domestic and international retail marketing initiatives.
  • Coordinate all ticket, hotel and gifting needs for Licensing staff and licensees.
  • Compile a WBC sales recap of all licensing revenue and on-site concessions sales.
  • Create a comprehensive WBC recap to ensure that all issues are documented in advance of next
    tournament.
  •  Communicate with internal departments coordinating required information and documentation.

Skills: 

  •  Hands-on experience working in operations and logistics for various sporting events/special events.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work with many different areas throughout the
    company.
  • Ability to work in a demanding and fast paced environment.
  • Ability to work well in high pressure environments.
  • Excellent organizational and record keeping skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Willingness to work weekends and evening

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree
  • Experience working in a professional sport and/or special events environment.

Preferred candidate qualifications:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • A collaborator with strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving capabilities

The tournament, which is sanctioned by the International Baseball Federation (IBAF), is supported by MLB, the MLBPA, Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB), the Korea Baseball Organization
(KBO), their respective players associations and other leagues and players from around the world.

Per the NYC pay transparency law, the hiring range for this position is a rate of $65,000.The actual offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your work experience, education, skills and any other factors Major League Baseball (MLB) considers relevant to the hiring decision.
