MLB Network seeks a highly motivated Freelance Specialist, Local Media Integration to assist with MLB Local Media game production, sales integrations and promotional obligation tracking. They must be a self-starter who is organized and able to multitask on various projects and requests from internal and external sales agencies, and team and league marketing departments while delivering support to the production and traffic teams at all stages of broadcast planning from initial booking through post-run reconciliation.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and document in-content ad sales and promotional elements effectively for Local Media broadcasts considering traffic requirements, production needs and client services obligations.
- Develop, construct and distribute daily in-content ad sales and promotional summary documents listing executions of all in-game broadcast obligations for the Production, Traffic, Creative Services teams and other necessary parties to drive fulfillment.
- Confirm execution of all elements with Master Control and align post-run needs with the Sales, Marketing and Traffic departments.
- Effectively utilize the Company’s traffic system, including but not limited to, the Broadway system.
- Reconcile all in-game ad sales executions in Broadway following each game broadcast.
- Serve as the main day-to-day point of contact for production personnel, ad sales and marketing teams regarding in-content production executions for assigned clubs.
- Partner with the Production and Creative Services departments to develop creative briefs and deliverables lists, as well as maintain delivery timelines and ensure all items are ready for air according to production timelines.
- Engage with multiple stakeholders, including but not limited to internal and third-party sales agencies, MLB teams and league personnel to collect graphic assets, route content mock-ups and manage time-sensitive approval process for in-content ad sales and promotional executions.
- Collaborate with MLB SVP and Executive Producer, Local Media to determine which in-content elements have production approval for inclusion within broadcasts and appropriate valuation.
- Work with the Sales and Traffic teams to ensure in-content/non-airtime inventory is accurately booked and scheduled within the Broadway traffic system.
- Ensure all client feedback is shared with Production and make-goods are scheduled when required.
- Maintain historical files of prior executions, including video, graphic mock-ups and copy, to provide as reference for Sales and Marketing teams.
- Conduct production and in-game element related research, develop written materials outlining findings and present as requested to Executive Producer and others on the Production, Sales and Marketing teams.
- Attend Production and Creative Services team meetings as requested by Executive Producer.
- Other such duties as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 2-4 years of administrative, production, integrated marketing, sales or traffic experience is required.
- Experience in the landscape of sports production, Regional Sports Networks (RSN’s) and media industries is preferred.
- Experience with advertising traffic systems is preferred.
- Ad Sales experience is preferred.
- Thorough understanding of the production process and the ability to conceive, create, and deliver effective campaigns as required.
- Thorough understanding of various media platforms, including broadcast television, OTT and other various web-based products.
- Outstanding interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well in a dynamic environment and identify, recommend and implement process improvements.
- Excellent tact, diplomacy, decisiveness, and superior people skills required in the pressurized environment of live television.
- Ability to interact with employees and vendors in an appropriate manner.
- Extremely organized, detail-oriented disposition, capable of multitasking across several projects simultaneously, and across the entire organization.
- Ability to work well independently and under time constraints.

- Possess the manual dexterity to effectively operate keyboard/mouse on computers, edit equipment, etc.
- Possess the visual and auditory acuity needed to effectively create required work product.
- Prompt and regular attendance at an assigned work location.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject matter is required.
