Night Security Attendant
The Night Security Attendant at the Jackie Robinson Training Complex (JRTC) maintains a safe and secure environment for patrons and employees by patrolling and
monitoring the premises and personnel.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Follow safety and security policies and procedures at all times.

Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property on foot or in a vehicle; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.

Carry out an intermittent building security check schedule.

Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.

Responds to guest requests quickly and courteously as reported by night shift staff.

Escort any unwelcome persons from the property.

Lock property entrances when required.

Assist guests/employees during emergency situations.

Notify appropriate individuals or Authorities in the event of accidents, attacks, or other incidents.

Performs all duties in a safe and professional manner and reports all accidents or substantial incidents to the supervisor immediately.

Maintain safety and security of guests at all times.

Watch for and report safety hazards or conditions.

Monitor staff leaving premises to protect against internal theft of property.

Monitor the front desk during off peak hours.

Completes other duties as assigned by the Coordinator, Guest Services.
REQUIREMENTS:
-
One (1) year of watchman/security experience preferred but not required.

Must have a Class D Security Officer License or the ability to obtain one within 6 months of hire.

Physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel and bend.

Ability to lift, push and pull required load (usually about 30 lbs.).

Ability to communicate effectively with guests, co-workers, and managers.

Ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.

The Jackie Robinson Training Complex (JRTC), operated by Major League Baseball (MLB) located in Vero Beach, Florida, serves as a year-round hub for amateur development initiatives and events designed to diversify and strengthen the talent pipelines of baseball and softball. We are the permanent home to several signature youth-focused events and programs, such as the Nike RBI World Series and the Hank Aaron Invitational, which teach players how to succeed on and off the field. The historic facility, formerly known as Dodgertown, was renamed Jackie Robinson Training Complex in honor of its trailblazing namesake.
