Purpose
Responsible for supporting confidential and highly sensitive investigations related to players, umpires,
and baseball personnel.
Responsibilities:
- Support investigations into allegations related to performance-enhancing substances, sports gambling, domestic violence, off-field misconduct, and other violations of baseball rules and policies
- Prepare timely reports of information gathered, presenting information in an organized and user-friendly format
- Gather and analyze publicly available information, including government records, social media, and news reports
- Conduct research and prepare memorandum on a variety of legal topics
- Monitor and develop alerts for relevant court filings and social media updates
- Secure and preserve data and publicly available information
- Prepare investigators for witness interviews
- Review and analyze documents, including organizing documents on a document review platform
- Perform related duties as required
Qualifications and Skills:
- Enrolled in an ABA Accredited Law School
- Strong research and writing skills
- Professional demeanor, organized, and detail-oriented
- Ability to manage deliverables with time-sensitive deadlines
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Fluency in Spanish (oral and written)
Pay Range: $20 - $23 per hour
