Responsibilities
- Identify and capture video of amateur prospects in designated coverage area for current draft year and future draft years.
- Attend and collect video at various summer and fall showcases/events.
- Upload Video to online file-sharing system for editing.
- Log player information into online scouting system and submit to Manager and Editor.
- Organize and plan cost effective methods of travel.
- Project a positive role as a goodwill ambassador for Major League Baseball.
- Build positive relationships with players, parents, coaches, player advisors, an scouting staff.
- Perform video editing and other special duties as assigned by Draft Operations group.
Qualifications and Skills
- Prior video and/or scouting experience desired.
- High-level (college or professional) playing experience a plus.
- A self-starter with strong administrative, organizational and communication skills.
- High-level understanding and passion for the game of baseball.
- Excellent work ethic and attention to detail.
- Understanding of video equipment and filming techniques desired.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills are a must.
- Self-starter who works well in a team setting.
- Video Editing abilities desired.
- Bi-Lingual abilities desired.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to relocate to West Coast.
- Applicant must be willing to work nights/weekends and holidays.
- Applicant must be willing to travel.
- Valid Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation.
Pay Range $22.00 - $27.00
