Simon Bergson, founder and owner of Manhattan Beer and Beverage Distributors, has done exactly this, growing our business over the last 40 years to exponential heights. Manhattan Beer and Beverage Distributors now has 1.5 million feet of warehouse space, the distribution rights to 300 brands, 400 trucks and services 15 counties. Our aim is to provide great service to all of our customers from the convenience store owner to our big chain operators, restaurants, bars and hotels.

Opportunity Awaits!
Your Main Focus:
Assist the Recycling Manager and Assistant Manager in overall recycling operations:

Support pre- and post-inspections of all recycling equipment, checking for cleanliness and damage.

Help review daily outloads (including Home D’s) and anticipate returns of empties.
Additional Responsibilities:

Coordinate with the Receiving Manager on backhauls (dunnage, pallets, etc.).

Reconcile breakage and re-pack inventory.

Oversee up to 15 recycling and warehouse porters.

Prepare dunnage loads with all required documentation.

Support the truck check-in process, ensuring vehicles are clean and in good condition.

Sort and identify resalable, repackable, and out-of-code products from trucks and breakage rooms.

Assist with equipment inspections and report issues to the Fleet department.

Support the supervision of the glass sorting process.

Ensure safety procedures are followed, including the use of proper safety gear.
Requirements
- Associate degree preferred.
- 1-2 years of warehousing and distribution experience in a high-volume environment.
- Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations.
- Familiarity and comfort level with warehousing technology. EoStar and Vocalect a plus.
- Understands the concept of FIFO and has slotting experience.
- Experience working with a unionized crew a plus.
- Has experience in operating a forklift.
- Basic familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word. Advanced skills a plus.
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Continuous desire to improve.
Salary: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 |
It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus. |
