We are seeking a highly motivated Investment Coordinator to join the Western Canada NNN Group at Marcus & Millichap REIS Canada Inc. This rewarding, hands-on role provides the opportunity to gain valuable experience and learn from every angle within the commercial real estate brokerage industry. In this position, you will work closely alongside five retail-focused investment brokers, including the Sr. Managing Director of Investments, the First VP of Investments, and two Associate Brokers, to assist with the day-to-day operations and manage projects, as detailed below.

The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter eager to build a diverse skill set within the commercial real estate industry. Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, they thrive in a fast-paced environment and work well independently. Key Responsibilities: Marketing and Copywriting

  • Develop property-specific Listing Proposals and Broker Opinions of Values (BOVs) to support sales and marketing efforts.
  • Create and execute Listing Brochures, Email Campaigns, Monthly Mailers (print and digital), Year-in-Reports, and other marketing collateral.
  • Liaise with third-party consultants, including photographers, print ad representatives, etc.
  • Oversee LinkedIn marketing and assist in managing the team’s social media presence.
  • Work with the Sr. Marketing Coordinator to design and produce other marketing materials such as signage, postcards, and letter campaigns. 
  • Transaction Support:

  • Draft and prepare Offers to Purchase (OTP’s), Letters of Intent (LOI’s), Addendums, Waivers, and other legal paperwork as required.
  • Prepare and file transaction documents such as confidentiality agreements, listing agreements, closing documents, and deal trade records.
  • Prepare and maintain deal file documents, including conveyance reports, BCFSA forms, FINTRAC, and invoicing.
  • Deal and Client Coordination:

  • Track and maintain all team listings, which includes monitoring critical dates for listings.
  • Monitor and report on listing activity and performance metrics.
  • Coordinate the collection and organization of essential deal file documentation from vendors (e.g., building reports, site plans, leases, and financial statements). 
  • Other:

  • Respond to requests for property information.
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks and administrative duties as required to support the team.
  • Stay up to date with market trends, research, and industry updates to support documentation and decision-making.
  • Maintain property and ownership databases for regions in British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan.
  • Conducting basic property valuations, creating tenancy schedules, and summarizing leases for lease abstracts.
  • Maintain agenda and follow-ups to weekly team meetings
  • Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education (degree and/or diploma) in a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and communicate effectively.
  • Eager to pursue a career in commercial real estate.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe; InDesign and / or Photoshop knowledge is a plus (or willingness to learn).
  • Willingness to take on additional responsibilities and challenges as needed.
  • Ability to work independently as a self-starter, as well as collaboratively within a team.
