Marcus & Millichap, one of the nation’s leading commercial real estate investment services company (with more than 2,000 investment sales and financing professionals in 80+ offices nationwide and throughout Canada) is seeking a Senior Salesforce Administrator to join our IT team.

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Salesforce Administrator to join our IT team. This role will work closely with the Salesforce Architect and other Salesforce Administrators to enhance and optimize our platform. The ideal candidate will have a deep technical background, a strong understanding of business processes, and the ability to take full ownership of a Salesforce organization. 

The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in this role is $130,000 - $140,000/annual.  The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc.  Marcus & Millichap is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states. 
 

Responsibilities


  • Flow Builder & Automation Response
  • Design, develop, and maintain complex automation using Flow Builder, including screen flows and record-triggered flows that leverage loops, sub flows, and Apex Actions.
  • Continuously optimize existing automation by migrating workflows and Process Builders to Flows.
  • Stay up to date with Salesforce releases and implement new Flow features for improved efficiency.
  • Security and Management
  • Design and implement comprehensive security models using profiles, permission sets, and sharing rules to ensure appropriate data access across the organization.
  • Maintain and optimize public groups, queues, and territories for efficient data distribution.
  • Develop and maintain role hierarchies that align with organizational structure while supporting complex sharing requirements.
  • Conduct regular security audits and health checks to ensure compliance with internal policies.
  • System Administration and Enhancement
  • Manage all aspects of our Salesforce instance, including user administration, security controls, and maintaining integration points.
  • Implement custom metadata to drive scalable, maintainable configurations.
  • Create and maintain custom objects, fields, page layouts, dynamic forms, and record types to support evolving business needs.
  • Develop and maintain complex validation rules and approval processes.
  • Deployment and Environmental Management
  • Manage deployments using change sets or DevOps tools like Gearset or Copado.
  • Oversee sandbox environments, including data seeding, refresh processes, and environment setup.
  • Monitor backup solutions to ensure data integrity and recovery options.
  • Data Governance and Integration
  • Maintain data visibility frameworks, including Organization-Wide Defaults (OWDs), sharing rules, and record ownership structures.
  • Establish and enforce data access policies aligned with compliance requirements.
  • Support API-based integrations using tools such as Mulesoft Composer, ensuring smooth data flow between systems.
  • Proficiency in data management tools and importing/exporting large datasets.
  • Analytics and Reporting
  • Build and maintain comprehensive dashboards and reports with appropriate visibility settings.
  • Design custom report types and implement advanced reporting solutions.
  • Develop executive-level dashboards that track KPIs while respecting data access restrictions.
  • Maintain data quality through regular audits, duplicate rules, using third-party data hygiene tools and automated cleaning processes.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator and Advanced Administrator certifications.
  • 5+ years of experience administering Salesforce in an enterprise environment.
  • Extensive experience with Flow Builder, including complex automation and error handling.
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce security models, including profiles, permission sets, and sharing architecture.
  • Proven experience implementing complex sharing rules and visibility requirements.
  • Strong background in data governance and security frameworks.
  • Excellence in stakeholder management and technical documentation.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting abilities and a proven ability to independently analyze and resolve complex issues.
  • Strong problem-solving, organization, and project management skills.



  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Platform App Builder certification
  • Experience with Event Monitoring, CRM Analytics, Experience Cloud, and Mulesoft Composer (or similar automation tools)
  • Knowledge of custom sharing models and sharing recalculation.
  • Background in compliance management (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
  • Experience with master data management solutions,
