Marcus & Millichap has an exciting opportunity for a University Relations Recruiter to join our team! This person will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and recruiting prospective students to join MMI. They play a pivotal role in promoting the Company's programs, culture, and values to prospective students, faculty, or staff, ensuring MMI attracts top talent.
 
Our Recruiters partner closely with Senior Executives and Regional Managers to create market-specific talent acquisition plans and are on the front lines of building strong relationships with commercial real estate investment sales agents.
 
This is a highly-visible, consultative position within the firm where your sourcing, influencing, and closing skills will be fully utilized and valued.

The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in Calabasas, CA is $90,000 - $100,000/annual plus bonus. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type of experience withing the industry, education, etc. Marcus & Millichap is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.

This is a 100% on-site role in our Calabasas office.
 

Responsibilities

  • Outreach and Engagement
  • Develop and implement strategic recruitment plans in line with MMI’ goals.
  • Represent MMI at educational fairs, community events, and other relevant events.
  • Host and organize office tours, information sessions, and recruitment events for prospective students or staff.
  • Relationship Building
  • Cultivate strong relationships with universities.
  • Engage with Division Managers, Regional Manager, and the Talent Acquisition team to facilitate recruitment activities.
  • Maintain relationships with prospective students or candidates through regular follow-ups
  • Application Process Support
  • Guide prospective students or candidates through the application process, offering information on requirements and deadlines
  • Evaluate applications, transcripts, and other relevant documents.
  • Collaborate with Regional Managers, OMs and HR personnel to ensure seamless transition and onboarding
  • Reporting and Analysis
  • Track and analyze recruitment data to assess the effectiveness of recruitment strategies.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on recruitment activities, trends, and challenges.
  • Recommend changes or improvements based on data analysis.
  • Continuous Learning
  • Stay updated with the latest trends in recruitment, higher education, and the specific programs offered by the universities.
  • Attend professional development workshops, seminars, and conferences related to university recruitment.
  • Collaboration
  • Work closely with Division Managers, Regional Managers, other departments, including marketing, to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
  • Collaborate with student services, and other relevant departments to provide comprehensive information to prospective students or candidates.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
  • Proven experience in college/university recruitment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using CRM tools and related software.
  • Ability to travel as needed for recruitment events.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Passionate about higher education and student success.
  • Empathetic and understanding, with the ability to cater to diverse populations.
  • Adaptable to changing situations and environments.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently.
