We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Junior Business Development Representative with a passion for public sector technology and a proven track record of success. This role is an opportunity for those who aspire to become a part of the next generation of sales leaders at Mark43. You will receive hands-on training and gain valuable B2G (Business to Government) sales experience, setting you up for a successful career within Mark43 and beyond.
What You'll Do:
- Proactively identify and convert prospects into qualified leads by conducting thorough analyses and handling early qualification calls.
- Develop and execute effective lead generation campaigns across multiple channels.
- Engage with agencies of various sizes to understand their needs and identify opportunities to fulfill those needs with Mark43’s cloud solutions.
- Meet and exceed daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly targets, including pipeline generation and activity-based metrics.
- Manage and enhance the early prospect experience, from initial intake to hand-off to Account Executives.
- Deliver high-level solution descriptions and partner with the Solutions Engineers team to deliver product demos.
- Provide tactical sales support on high-priority opportunities and prospects.
- Utilize best-in-class sales and communication tools to accelerate lead generation and maintain high activity levels.
- Professionally communicate with prospects via phone, video calls, and email consistently.
- Travel up to 25% to attend industry events, engage with prospects, and support sales initiatives.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university.
- 3+ years of experience in a sales development role, ideally within the public sector or a related field.
- Proven success in prospecting and qualifying leads for SaaS solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic understanding of cloud-native applications.
- Demonstrated interest in GovTech and modernizing public safety space.
- Ability to empathize with diverse user groups and understand their unique needs.
- A self-motivated, outgoing, and driven attitude, with a commitment to excellence and detail.
- Openness to travel up to 25% as required for the role.
- Familiarity with SalesHub for managing outreach sequences and automation.
- Experience using Salesforce for customer relationship management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for data analysis and presentations.
- Knowledge of live chat capabilities to engage with prospects in real time.
