About the Team
Meesho’s content commerce team is a relatively new team that directly contributes to Meesho’s GMV/ NMV. This team works on identifying opportunities in the creator ecosystem to leverage them for Meesho’s growth. As part of the team, individuals work on exciting new problem statements around creator and content growth & contribute to Meesho’s content strategy across various social media platforms

About the Role
As an Associate Director in our Content Commerce team, you will work directly with the VP and own a critical business unit. Your responsibilities will include identifying growth levers, setting up a smooth operating model, delivering on successful implementation, tracking key initiatives, while working alongside cross-functional leaders and managing a high performing team of associates. Your end goal is to help us scale the Meesho Content Commerce business from 1 to 10x. This role will contribute directly to the GMV/ NMV growth of Meesho.

What will you do

  • Long term Strategy / roadmap: Develop and drive projects that contribute to the next 3-5 year strategic roadmap for Content Commerce. These projects help bring outside-in perspective into the strategic planning of the vertical. Some of these include, but are not limited to: growing the creator base that works with Meesho, helping creators succeed by making content about Meesho products, building a content-first shopping experience for users.
  • Functional strategy and implementation Projects: Identify and create projects to generate 10X revenue impact within Meesho. Own and deliver strategic projects which are structural and long-term in nature for the company. This will involve:- Identify projects in conjunction with the leaders of the organization- Structuring the problem in different parts and creating a strong hypothesis to unlock opportunity areas- Mobilize execution resources and see the projects till impact.
  • Team building/coaching: Build an outstanding team of managers and analysts in the content commerce business. Gain leverage by grooming and coaching them to be future leaders at Meesho.
  • What will you need

  • Tier 1 MBA or undergrad is mandatory.
  • We are looking for people with 4+ years of experience with top tier consulting or high growth startup experience (business/ category, growth, influencer marketing)
  • Strong track record in building and growing 0 to 1 businessTeam handling experience of minimum 5-8 members
  • Outstanding leadership and organizational skills
  • Superior problem-solving and project management skills
  • Experience in team building, managing, and coaching will be a plus
