We are seeking an experienced Analytics Engineering Manager that will oversee a high-performing team of analytics engineers and enable the team to deliver innovative data solutions for the Mitratech data platform. This role requires an experienced people manager with a proven background designing and implementing data pipelines. Extensive experience using tools such as Fivetran, Airbyte, dbt, and Snowflake is critical for success in this role.

The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in data infrastructure and architecture, a demonstrated ability to lead and scale analytics teams, exceptional operational skills to enhance efficiency and agility, strong project management capabilities to drive successful execution, and a forward-thinking vision capable of working with product management on future innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership & Management:
    • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of data engineers.
    • Conduct performance reviews, career planning, and skills development.
    • Foster a collaborative and innovative culture within the team.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and transformation workflows using tools such as Airbyte, Fivetran, dbt, and Snowflake.
    • Optimize data warehouse performance, ensuring scalable, cost-effective solutions.
    • Develop best practices for data modeling, version control, and pipeline monitoring.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
    • Work closely with product managers, analysts, and cross-functional teams to understand data requirements specific to products.
    • Ability to lead and guide decision making across multiple projects concurrently.
    • Translate business needs into technical solutions, ensuring data reliability and availability.
    • Provide thought leadership in modern data engineering practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • 7+ years in data engineering, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
    • Proven track record of people management, including hiring, coaching, and team development.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Deep expertise in modern data stack tooling (Airbyte, Fivetran, dbt, Snowflake).
    • Strong SQL skills and experience with data modeling.
    • Familiarity with ELT/ETL pipelines and cloud data platforms.
  • Industry Knowledge:
    • Experience working in a product-based company is highly preferred.
    • Strong understanding of agile methodologies and product lifecycle.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with additional tools like Airflow, Python, QuickSight, PowerBI or Tableau.
  • Experience in developing data governance frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines in a data engineering context.
