Associate Product Manager Job Description

  • Perform current state analysis, requirements analysis, gap analysis, risk assessment, and other related tasks as needed per project requirements 
  • Research, interpret and translate immigration process requirements for various geographies and application processes 
  • Write clear, complete functional specifications and system use cases for business requirements and high-level design documentation 
  • Drive conversations with multiple stakeholders to logical agreement around product direction, messaging, positioning and go-to-market strategies 
  • Partner with product managers to execute a roadmap from discovery to deployment.  
  • Analyze new ideas and change requests to determine potential solutions and prioritize based on business need, effort/impact and scale 
  • Perform impact analysis to data and systems resulting from new projects and enhancements 
  • Provide subject matter expertise to recommend appropriate functional solutions to new requirements based on best practices and functionality. 
  • Act as a single point of contact for business requirements and represent the end user in the product development process 
  • Validating that solutions developed meet business requirements prior to UAT (user acceptance testing) 
  • Interact with a global customer base for project discovery, client working groups, validation of customer adoption and success 
  • Present / demo functionality to customers, prospects, peers and leadership 

 

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 4-6 years of experience as a business analyst or related role in a commercial product environment  
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills with an emphasis on user-centered discovery and production definition experience 
  • Comfortable communicating to internal and external stakeholders at various levels 
  • Familiar with common development and collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, Azure DevOps, Aha!, and Productboard (not mandatory) 
  • Knowledge of methodologies for prioritization 
  • Strong project management skills: document, socialize & archive product artifacts 
  • Familiarity with platform product strategy, packaging & development execution (not mandatory) 
  • Ability to conceptualize, visualize and articulate product ideas 
  • Proven ability to execute multiple deliverables concurrently with strong attention to detail 
  • Proactive, self-motivated and demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal guidance 
  • Prior experience or background with global immigration business processes (not mandatory)
