We are looking to hire high-energy, and value-adding talent to join Modulr, one of the fastest growing payments businesses in the UK and Europe. This is a role working alongside members of the sales team, and partnering with our product teams, to take to market our ever-expanding portfolio of API-first business payment solutions.

We are deeply integrated into the payment eco-system. In the UK, we are direct participants of Faster Payments and Bacs, and hold settlement accounts at the Bank of England. Our payment network connectivity includes CHAPS, Open Banking, SEPA, SWIFT and account issuance in 11 currencies. We are principal issuing members of Visa and Mastercard across UK and Europe.
Our regulatory permissions and governance structure underpin our business. We are regulated and supervised as an Authorised Electronic Money Institution (AEMI) in the UK by the Financial Conduct Authority and in the Netherlands by De Nederlandsche Bank.
Our founding team has a wealth of experience in the payments industry and growing successful businesses. Modulr is backed by the venture arms of payments giants PayPal and FIS, as well as growth investors Blenheim Chalcot, General Atlantic, Frog Capital and Europe.
Modulr now has over 400 employees spread globally across offices in London, Edinburgh, Amsterdam and Mumbai.

The Role
Key responsibilities
Solution Consultants play a vital role within Modulr working in a highly consultative fashion identifying client pain points, defining Modulr proposition fit and developing tailored solutions
Specific duties
You will need to be able to operate at a high level of competency, undertaking the following:
- Acting as a trusted advisor, throughout the sales engagement lifecycle, on Modulr products, solutions and best methods of integrating services.
- Leveraging your expertise within payments, regulation and Modulr’s technology to drive forward client engagements.
- Leading discovery sessions, solution design workshops, product demonstrations, impactful pitch presentations, RFI/RFP responses and developer Q&As.
- Collaborating with our product teams to identify feature enhancements and new product offers that Modulr can bring to market.
- Collaborating with our compliance and legal teams to establish go-to-market models within an agreed compliance and regulatory framework.
- Consistently build strong relationships with stakeholders both internally and externally
- Documenting and signing-off solutions (covering regulatory and compliance principles, product operation, money flows and use of APIs) ensuring all parties have complete clarity of solutions being implemented
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will:
- have significant relevant payments industry experience, ideally of embedded payments and account issuing ,but card payments experience is also valuable.
- have a strong understanding of regulation and compliance in relation to account and payment services issuing
- have several years relevant professional experience in a sales consulting / pre-sales role (any experience in product, sales, technology or compliance roles could also be valuable).
- have experience of solution design in complex technical and financial regulatory domains.
- have very strong skills in discovery, eliciting requirements, creating and delivering product and solution pitches.
- have excellent written and verbal communication skills in articulating complex solutions.
- have strong, data driven analytical skills.
- have a successful track-record in delivering results in a fast-moving business.
- be comfortable with change and uncertainty.• have excellent stakeholder management skills
