YOUR TEAM
Behind the scenes of our projects, our administrative departments ensure that every initiative is given its due. They intervene at various stages of development, supporting and accompanying the Moment Factory teams. You'll be part of a passionate team that thrives on project diversity, varied production cycles and a wide range of customers.

YOUR MISSION
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the tax compliance of all company entities, by ensuring compliance with local, national, and international tax regulations. You will actively participate in international expansion projects, providing expertise in cross-border transaction taxation, transfer pricing and restructuring, while complying with current tax laws.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Tax Filings: Compile the required information for tax returns, prepare the tax filings, and submit them in collaboration with external tax advisors, ensuring reconciliation with the tax assessment notices;
  • Forms: Prepare any other forms for a multinational group, such as T106, T1134, NR, and T5 forms;
  • Consumption Taxes in Different Countries: Prepare and submit consumption tax filings (e.g., GST, VAT, QST, sales & use tax) and ensure compliance with applicable consumption tax laws in the countries of operation;
  • Transfer Pricing: Record intercompany transactions and perform transfer pricing calculations in accordance with the established transfer pricing methodology;
  • Forms for Independent Contractors: Prepare T4A and 1099 forms for independent contractors at the end of each fiscal year;
  • Participate in audits conducted by various government authorities;
  • Compliance: Track revenue by state to determine economic nexus;
  • Withholding Tax: Monitor withholding taxes applied by clients in foreign countries;
  • Document year-end audit files and participate in the annual audit with external auditors regarding taxes and duties reflected in the financial statements;
  • Prepare and submit quarterly tax installment payments.
  • YOUR JOURNEY INCLUDES

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field;
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with tax provisions and tax filings, either in public accounting or industry;
  • Completion of or enrollment in a Master's in Taxation or advanced tax courses from the ICA (or equivalent) is a plus;
  • Knowledge of sales taxes;
  • Strong understanding of Canadian and international tax regulations;
  • Knowledge of transfer pricing standards, transaction taxation, and global tax compliance;
  • Proficiency with tax software for preparing income tax returns and tax forms, such as Taxprep for Corporations and Taxprep Forms;
  • Strong research skills to identify key issues, facts, and applicable laws;
  • Experience with NetSuite is an asset;
  • Fluency in both French and English, both spoken and written, as you will regularly communicate with English-speaking clients in this role;
  • Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
