MongoDB’s mission is to empower innovators to create, transform, and disrupt industries by unleashing the power of software and data. We enable organizations of all sizes to easily build, scale, and run modern applications by helping them modernize legacy workloads, embrace innovation, and unleash AI. Our industry-leading developer data platform, MongoDB Atlas, is the only globally distributed, multi-cloud database and is available in more than 115 regions across AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure. Atlas allows customers to build and run applications anywhere—on premises, or across cloud providers. With offices worldwide and over 175,000 new developers signing up to use MongoDB every month, it’s no wonder that leading organizations, like Samsung and Toyota, trust MongoDB to build next-generation, AI-powered applications.

As the Director of Acquisition Marketing at MongoDB, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for driving new customer acquisition and engagement through cutting-edge digital marketing strategies. Sitting within the Global Demand Center, this team plays a pivotal role in growing MongoDB’s Product-Led Growth (PLG) business and fueling integrated marketing efforts that target developers and IT decision-makers across key audience segments.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with teams across the Global Demand Center—including global campaigns, email programs, translation, webinars, and partner marketing—while also partnering with our Product, Brand, MOps, Field Marketing, Sales, and Growth Marketing teams to create cohesive and scalable acquisition strategies that drive both sales-sold and self-serve revenue.

This role can be based out of our New York City office or remotely in the United States.

What You’ll Do

    • Continuously evolve and expand the analytical and attribution models to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and channels
  • Create a Seamless Prospect Experience:
    • Architect an integrated prospect journey by aligning inbound and outbound marketing tactics with cross-channel touchpoints
    • Partner with cross-functional teams to optimize landing pages, ad creatives, and customer conversion paths to improve user experience and engagement
  • Own Media Strategy:
    • Oversee MongoDB’s media buying agency relationships and in-house team to ensure best-in-class performance and ROI
    • Lead strategy and execution for digital advertising, ensuring alignment with broader marketing objectives
  • Lead and Grow the Acquisition Marketing Team:
    • Build, mentor, and inspire a team of top-tier acquisition marketers
    • Establish hiring needs, define career growth paths, and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability
  • Collaborate Across Teams:
    • Work hand-in-hand with demand generation, brand, and growth marketing teams to deliver programs that align with sales and marketing goals
    • Partner with Product, Design, Data Analytics, and Experimentation teams to drive continuous improvement in ad creative, landing page performance, and overall acquisition tactics
    • Lead efforts with content and technical teams to advance MongoDB’s SEO strategy, ensuring alignment with both technical requirements and content marketing goals
  • Communicate Results and Insights:
    • Regularly report on performance, insights, and progress to senior leadership, highlighting key drivers and opportunities for continued growth

What You Bring
