As a senior manager you will be in charge of leading a team and have a regular conversation with sales leaders  in the region in order to make sure that the individual's plans are aligned with business priorities.                                                           

This is a role for someone who is passionate about managing, coaching and  inspiring individuals to constantly raise the bar driving measurable growth, and working cross-functionally to create and scale impactful results.

The role will report to the Lead EMEA Strategic Marketing. 

We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in London for our hybrid working model.

What you will do

  • Lead, mentor, and support the marketing team in order to make sure that every team member has all the resources and has accountability  to reach their individual goals. This involves recruiting, training, evaluating team members and celebrating success
  • Foster a team culture by representing MongoDB’s main core values and leadership principles, encouraging the team to take innovative approaches
  • Measure impact & optimize: Track team performance metrics and ROI, ensuring processes are in place to evaluate the effectiveness of your team and apply insights to improve performance
  • Regular communication to regional sales leaders. Understanding sales priorities and challenges and making sure your team plans embodies these priorities. Bring regular updates on performance and keep them informed about next initiatives and make sure the sales org is updated and trained about best practices
  • Marketing budget optimization. Make sure that resources are allocated effectively and efficiently to achieve the desired outcomes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams  like field marketing, partner marketing, customer marketing, demand generation and developer advocacy in order to ensure alignment and support for marketing initiatives

We’re looking for someone with

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred

  • 10+ years of account based marketing, field marketing, industry marketing or sales experience with at least 4 years in a leadership or management position.Tech industry experience preferred but not required
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. Individual that leads with integrity, empathy, with a culture of accountability and a clear vision and the ability to inspire others to work towards key leadership principles.Strong understanding of B2B marketing principles, customer journeys, and data analytics.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and drive organisational change
  • Results-oriented and analytically skilled, capable of interpreting data, making informed data-driven decisions, and reporting insights to regional sales leaders
  • Experience working cross-functionally with enterprise or corporate sales, customer success teams, and account development teams, obsessing over addressable market and specific account goals
  • A passion for continuous learning, innovation, and staying on top of industry trendsExperience working in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and Salesforce, and marketing technology tools like 6sense, Eloqua, Pathfactory, Sigma, Tableau
  • Must be a highly self-motivated, entrepreneurial professional who can excel in an autonomous work environment and proactively drive initiatives

Additional Requirements:

    • Travel required
    • German, French speaker will be a plus.

Success Measures:

The Senior Strategic Marketing Manager will be successful in this role when they can execute the following strategic tasks/responsibilities:

  • In 3 months you will have established yourself as a leader with your team, and have created an operational rhythm that makes the team feel supported and empowered to contribute their best work
  • In 6 months you will have a full alignment with sales leaders in your region and you will make sure your team works in full alignment with business priorities to marketing strategies contributing to revenue growth, market expansion, or other key performance indicators
  • In 12 months you’ll have cemented yourself as a key leader in your region, your team will consistently meet or exceed its marketing goals and objectives, and you will be driving individual personal growth
