MongoDB is seeking an experienced NetSuite architect to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of integrations, customizations and enhancements within our NetSuite and ERP system landscape. The NetSuite architect will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to ensure that our NetSuite system is optimized to meet our business needs. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our NetSuite platform, as well as supporting SFDC, Concur and Coupa integrations. The proficiency in these platforms will play a crucial role in driving efficient and effective financial processes across the organization.
This role will have high visibility into multiple parts of the organization, including but not limited to Finance, Order to Cash, Revenue, Sales, and Data Warehousing.
This role will be fully remote in the U.S.
What you’ll do...
Deliver Enterprise Solution Architecture:
- Develop a comprehensive and scalable enterprise solution architecture aligned with business goals and technical requirements.
Focus on Integration Strategies:
- Define and implement strategies for integrating ERP with other enterprise systems (Tax Engine, CRM, Billing Engine, etc ).
- Coordinate and manage ERP vendor partnerships effectively
Project and Roadmap Leadership:
- Plan, manage, and lead projects and define the organization’s strategic technology roadmap.
- Drive organizational change management for successful adoption of new business processes.
- Collaborate with business managers and end-users to gather and analyze business and user needs.
- Work closely with business users to resolve functional issues and deliver new capabilities.
Best Practices Development:
- Define and refine software engineering and project management best practices to ensure secure and stable systems.
Solution Design Review:
- Provide guidance and review solutions provided by junior team members.
- Provide coaching and learning opportunities to all team members

- Proven track record of implementing ERP solutions that align with organizational long-term goals, operational priorities, and growth initiatives.
- Experience translating strategic business priorities into technical solutions that drive enterprise-wide value.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity to define clear technical and business requirements.
- Extensive experience in planning and executing process improvement initiatives.
- Proficiency in modeling business processes using various tools and techniques.
- Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills, adaptable to all organizational levels.
- Expertise in bridging business and IT functions to ensure effective stakeholder communication.
- Advanced situational analysis and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Data management preferred (SQL, XML, JSON)
- Web services preferred (REST, SOAP)
- Experience in HTML, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, SuiteScript 1.0 and SuiteScript 2.0
Must-Have Experience:
- Minimum 7 years as a NetSuite Architect that is hands-on with customizations and script development.
- Expertise in designing core business flow and defining functional/technical solution landscapes for complex projects.
- In-depth understanding of Order-to-Cash, Revenue and Procure-to-Pay business processes.
Nice-to-Have Experience:
- Familiarity with Finance and Accounting ASC 606, SOX, SuiteBilling, Multibooks, FAM, ARM modules within NetSuite.
Success Measures:
The ERP Engineer will be successful in this role when they can execute the following tasks:
In the first 30 days:
- You will communicate with stakeholders, such as accounting professionals, external consultants, and internal teams, to discuss upcoming projects, challenges, and opportunities within the ERP landscape
- Get acquainted with current NetSuite implementation
- Collaborate with other administrators or team members to share knowledge, troubleshoot issues, and support each other in managing the NetSuite platform effectively
- Provide support, guidance and educate end-users, such as finance and accounting teams.
In the first 60 days:
- Engage with key stakeholders, such as finance and accounting, to gather feedback, address concerns, and identify opportunities for collaboration and synergy
- Address any outstanding issues or support tickets related to planning configurations, calculations, or reporting that have arisen since day 30
- Identify opportunities for process improvement or optimization within the planning system configuration and related workflows
- Generate reports or analytics to track key performance indicators related to planning, compliance, accuracy, and system utilization for management
In the first 90 days:
- Participate in strategic planning discussions to align with overarching finance initiatives and organizational goals
- Maintain proficiency and demonstrate track record of effectively managing NetSuite and contributing to MongoDB’s overall success
- Continue to identify opportunities for process improvement or optimization within NetSuite from system configuration to related workflows and reports
- Update documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and training materials, to reflect any changes or enhancements made to the planning system since day 60
