Summary

MongoDB is hiring a Receptionist within our NYC headquarters location. The role will report into our NYC Senior Workplace Manager, which is within the wider Americas Employee Experience department. 

We are seeking someone who is friendly, organized and detail oriented, who enjoys being the go-to person and is a genuine office and employee experience ambassador. This is a full-time/in office position and will help support the 850+ on site employees across a variety of teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the reception desk and lobby to maintain an organized, professional, and welcoming office environment
  • Greet and assist visitors and guests in a courteous and professional manner
  • Register visitors and guests in the building portal to ensure accurate visitor tracking
  • Oversee the visitor check-in and desk booking system, ensuring smooth operation
  • Manage access card procedures in line with office security protocols
  • Receive and sort mail, packages, and deliveries, ensuring timely distribution and maintaining internal customer satisfaction
  • Assist with placing inventory orders as needed
  • Respond to, track, and action employee requests via the internal ticketing system in a timely and efficient manner
  • Manage the office seating chart and implement updates as needed
  • Collaborate with local teams on various events to ensure smooth execution and support as needed
  • Assist with ad hoc projects to support office operations and team initiatives

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in a receptionist or administrative role,ideally in a corporate environment, hospitality experience is a huge plus
  • Professional and positive demeanor with excellent customer service skills 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Adaptability with the ability to handle shifting responsibilities as needed
  • Reliable and punctual , with a strong work ethic
  • Resourceful and proactive, able to handle issues independently and find solutions quickly
  • Proficient user of technology as well as MS office applications, Google Suite

MongoDB’s base salary range for this role is posted below. Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB’s total compensation and benefits package. Other benefits for eligible employees may include: equity, participation in the employee stock purchase program, flexible paid time off, 20 weeks fully-paid gender-neutral parental leave, fertility and adoption assistance, 401(k) plan, mental health counseling, access to transgender-inclusive health insurance coverage, and health benefits offerings. Please note, the base salary range listed below and the benefits in this paragraph are only applicable to U.S.-based candidates.

$36,000$72,000 USD
