Position Description: 

Motus is seeking an experienced sales manager to manage a team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs) in a hybrid capacity. You will play a crucial role in driving our sales pipeline, mentoring and developing a Chicago-based BDR team, and ensuring the success of our sales efforts. This position offers the opportunity to directly impact our company's growth while also developing future sales talent. 

While Motus is a remote-first company, this role will be hybrid, working out of a Chicago-based office Tuesday through Thursday. 

Position Duties: 

  • Lead pipeline generation process and ensure a steady flow of high-quality leads for the sales team.
  • Develop and supervise outbound lead strategies to improve lead generation efforts.
  • Provide regular coaching and mentorship to BDRs through one-on-ones and real-time feedback.
  • Set, monitor, and hold the team accountable to key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Own the maintenance and ongoing development of training collateral to ensure the team is equipped with the latest tools and techniques. Partner with BDR leadership and Enablement to ensure onboarding, techniques, and strategies align with success metrics for each BDR level.  
  • Actively participate in recruitment and onboarding new BDR team members.
  • Report on and analyze lead pipeline, forecasting, and team activity to identify areas for improvement.
  • Keep the team updated on standard methodologies in sales strategy and technology to drive continuous improvement.
  • Drive efficiency across team processes and activities to optimize performance.
  • Cultivate a culture of teamwork and knowledge sharing within your team as well as with your Business Partners. Partner with Marketing to optimize demand generation campaigns and align campaigns with outbound prospecting efforts.  
  • Acquire and maintain an updated knowledge of Motus' product suite to effectively communicate its value proposition to potential customers.
  • Manage a hybrid team, prioritizing BDR engagement and productivity while collaborating with other remote members of the organization.  

Desired Skills and Experience: 

  • 1 to 4 years of sales/BDR management experience preferred.
  • Prior BDR experience in a SaaS organization strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record in leading successful revenue teams.
  • Deep knowledge of sales standard methodologies and techniques.
  • Passion for coaching and mentoring with the ability to adapt coaching style to individual team member needs.
  • Excited by attracting, recruiting, developing, and retaining outstanding talent early in their Sales careers.
  • Have a reputation with cross-functional teams as being collaborative, innovative, accountable, and reliable.
  • Have a focus on being data-driven, highly analytical, lead through influence, are a structured problem solver.
  • Sophisticated knowledge of Salesforce.com and proficiency in prospecting tools such as Outreach and LinkedIn Sales Navigator. 

Where required by law, Motus provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The base pay for this role is $100,000 – 115,000. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position is also eligible for incentive compensation based on performance.
