The successful candidate will work alongside our software developers in a collaborative environment, contributing to the development and deployment of high-quality, infrastructure projects. Responsibilities:
- Design and implement IaC solutions using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar to manage our GCP infrastructure
- Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code configurations for our cloud services, including networking, storage, and compute resources
- Collaborate with developers to deploy high-throughput pipelines and ensure seamless integration with our platform's services and functionality
- Identify opportunities for cost and performance improvements and implement changes using IaC principles
- Set up and manage instrumentation for application performance monitoring using tools like Prometheus and Grafana
- Run research spikes to maintain our team's knowledge of incoming cloud/data services and IaC best practices
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar
- Experience with cloud services like GCP, including networking, storage, and compute resources
- Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with application logging/tracing/performance monitoring using tools like Prometheus and Grafana
- Experience with Linux infrastructure and scripting languages like Python or Bash
- Experience with version control systems like Git
- Strong understanding of IaC principles and best practices
